Nationally, there is a tremendous amount of
pressure to reduce spending in the tax code in an effort to reduce
the federal deficit. One deduction under attack is the Mortgage Interest
Deduction (MID). As of today, Congressman David Wu (OR-1) and Congressman Peter
DeFazio (OR-4) signed House Resolution 25, a bi-partisan House Resolution that
affirms the value and importance of the MID. It’s important that we build more
support for this critical tax deduction.
