Plans Filed for New Vancouver Subdivision

A Portland-area developer is moving forward with plans for a new residential subdivision just north of state Highway 14 in central Vancouver. Clackamas-based Dez Development recently submitted an application to the city to build a 23-home community on a 1.65-acre parcel east of Southeast Ellsworth Road.

The proposal outlines 23 single-family lots, including one detached home and 22 attached homes. While home designs are still in progress, current expectations place the finished residences between 1,500 and 2,200 square feet. Lot sizes would range from 1,500 to 2,500 square feet for the attached homes and roughly 4,200 square feet for the detached property.

The subdivision would sit within an established residential area already surrounded by single-family homes and apartment communities. This new plan replaces an earlier concept for a 27-unit townhome development previously submitted for the site.

Dez Development has been active in the Portland metro region for more than a decade and anticipates beginning construction once land use approvals and permitting are complete, likely in the summer or fall of next year.
