This privacy policy addresses personal information collected through the website and any other information you choose to share with us, such as through email, mail, or telephonic communications (collectively the “Site”).

If you choose to work with one of our agents to buy or sell a property, your agreement with the agent may include additional disclosures regarding how we will handle your personal information as part of that transaction. Additionally, our agents may have their own websites with their own privacy notices.

By accessing or using our Site, you acknowledge this privacy policy, including our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information, as described below. This privacy policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights.

Personal Information We Collect

This privacy policy does not cover data we, or our authorized third-party vendors and partners, collect that cannot be used to identify an individual or to pseudonymous data. Additionally, this Site is intended for adults over the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

• Contact information (such as first and last name, email address, physical address, social media account identifiers or other unique online identifiers)
• Recordkeeping information (such as account credentials)
• Transactional information (such as records of property purchased, obtained, or considered)
• Financial information (such as banking information from tenants of rental properties)

• Real estate agents and brokers; 
• Service providers, such as Google or Facebook if you log in using a third-party account; and

• To respond to your inquiries, including questions about our property listings;
• To connect you with agents, lenders, and brokers to assist with your property search or the sale of your property; 
• To operate, personalize, and improve the Site, including for analytics purposes;
• To send updates, promotions, and marketing materials that may be of interest to you;
• To comply with the law and to maintain the security of our Site; and 
• With your affirmative consent, or as otherwise disclosed at the time information is collected.

Why We Disclose Your Personal Information and Who We Share It With 

We use and disclose each category of personal information we collect for our commercial and business purposes, as further described in this privacy policy. 

We do not “sell” personal information collected on this Site for money, but we may allow third-party advertising/marketing companies and social networks to collect data on the Site as described in the “Digital Advertising & Analytics” section of this privacy policy. We treat these advertising activities as “sales” or “sharing” for targeted advertising under state privacy laws and give you the opportunity to opt out. 

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16 years of age. 

We also do not sell or use personal information for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. However, if we work with you to purchase a new home, we may be required to share or disclose information that you have provided to us that could result in a decision that could impact whether you are able to purchase a specific housing or lending opportunity, such as a preapproval letter for a specific offer of credit.

• Third-party service providers who process information on our behalf, such as Inside Real Estate to operate this Site on our behalf, data hosting services, and email service providers;
• Real estate agents, lenders, and brokers to assist with your property search;
• Any affiliates or joint venture partners that we may have now or in the future;

• Government entities or other third parties if legally required; and
• Data analytics providers.

We may also share the information we collect in the following situations:

• As part of a potential or actual corporate sale, merger, or acquisition, or other transfer of all or part of our assets, including as part of a bankruptcy proceeding;
• Pursuant to a subpoena, court order, governmental inquiry, or other legal process or as otherwise required by law, to protect our rights or the rights of third parties, or to protect the safety or security of any person or entity; and
• With your affirmative consent or as otherwise disclosed at the time of data collection or sharing.

We may share information that has been deidentified or aggregated, as this is not considered personal information. Note that we maintain and use deidentified information only in deidentified form. We do not attempt to reidentify such information except as needed to determine that the information is appropriately deidentified.

Digital Advertising & Analytics

Your Choices

To opt out of our email marketing, you can use the link provided at the bottom of each marketing message. If you opt out of our email marketing, we will still send you messages related to our transactions and relationship with you. 

If you agree to receive marketing calls or texts from us, we do not share your consent with any third party for their marketing purposes.  If you have opted in to text message marketing, you can opt out of future messages by responding STOP to a text message.

Retention, Confidentiality, and Security of Personal Information

We will process and retain personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of the storage, or as permitted by law. The primary criterion used to determine the length of storage is the applicable statutory retention period. After that period, the information is routinely deleted, aggregated, or deidentified, as long as it is no longer necessary to fulfill or initiate a contract.

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your information. However, the Internet is not absolutely secure and thus we cannot promise guaranteed security. In the unlikely event that we believe the security of your personal information in our possession or control may have been compromised, we may seek to notify you. As applicable, we will comply with notification requirements for a security breach and may also notify you by email.

U.S. State Privacy Rights

We do business in Oregon and Washington and our customers and website visitors are primarily from those states. As relevant to the Site, you can opt out of “sales” and sharing for targeted advertising by visiting our Site with the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) enabled. The GPC is a third-party tool, and you can activate the GPC by implementing a browser or extension that offers this tool. More information and instructions on implementing this tool are available here. The Site has implemented mechanisms to respond to GPC signals that we receive, where required, and we treat these signals as requests to opt out of “sales” and sharing for targeted advertising.  

Verification and Appeals. Note that we may need to request additional information from you to verify your identity or understand the scope of your request, although you will not be required to create an account with us to submit a request or have it fulfilled.

Under certain state privacy laws that may apply, if you have submitted a request that we have not reasonably fulfilled, within 45 days after we inform you that we decline to take action regarding your request, you may contact us to appeal our decision by sending an email with the subject line “Appeal” to info@premierepropertygroup.com. 

Authorized Agent.  Depending on your state, you may be able to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. You can designate an agent in writing or through a power of attorney; agents are directed to submit requests through the same methods described above. As permitted by law, we will require the agent to provide us with proof that you have authorized the agent to make requests on your behalf prior to accepting requests from the agent.
