Changes Coming to Bend’s Olney Ave
Significant improvements are coming to Olney Avenue in Bend, and local residents are invited to get the details at a pre-construction open house on January 14.
The open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Element Bend Hotel, located at 1526 NW Wall St. The event will provide information about the planned upgrades designed to enhance safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.
Construction is scheduled to begin in February and will be completed in stages to reduce traffic disruptions. The project will focus on Olney Avenue between the Portland Avenue bridge and NE Second Street, including improvements at the intersections with Wall Street and Second Street.
In addition to upgrades for transportation, the project will also address improvements to water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure.
