Evergreen Habitat Invests in Clark County’s Future
For many local families, the dream of owning a home has started to feel out of reach. Rising prices and limited inventory have made it harder than ever to find affordable housing in our community. But Evergreen Habitat for Humanity is stepping in to change that narrative, offering real solutions and new hope for those looking to build stability through homeownership.

Evergreen Habitat recently announced the availability of $1.5 million in subsidy funds to help qualified buyers purchase a home through its affordable homeownership program. This initiative is designed to make homeownership achievable for first-time buyers who earn between 30 and 80 percent of the Area Median Income in Clark County. For example, a household of four may qualify with an income up to $99,300 per year. Updated income and household eligibility information can be found on Evergreen Habitat’s website.
The organization’s homes range from one to three bedrooms and are located throughout Clark County. One of its most exciting projects, the 132nd Cottages, will feature 32 two-bedroom homes arranged around a shared green space that encourages community connection. Applications are currently open for this new development.

Evergreen Habitat is also partnering with private developers to expand access to affordable homes. The Wolf Cottages in Vancouver, built by Wolf Industries, include one- and two-bedroom homes designed for efficiency and comfort. Another new development, the 62nd Avenue Homes, features larger three-bedroom layouts that meet the needs of growing families. These homes are available for application now and can be viewed by appointment.
Through partnerships with the Washington State Department of Commerce, the City of Vancouver Affordable Housing Fund and Clark County HOME, Evergreen Habitat is creating opportunities for more people to purchase homes and build lasting roots in the community. This initiative represents a powerful step toward making homeownership attainable for more local families and strengthening the neighborhoods we share.
