Celebrating 100 Newsletters!
This month marks something truly special: our 100th Welcome Home Northwest newsletter! When we sent that very first edition on March 7, 2019, I had no idea it would turn into this, with millions of emails delivered, hundreds of stories shared, and a habit our readers actually look forward to.
Along the way, a few things became clear. Our Just Listed features consistently earn some of our highest open rates. What Sold Down the Street? has grown from a fun local curiosity into a real resource, now providing reports across 40 zip codes throughout the Portland Metro and Southwest Washington areas. And the garden articles, whatever the season, from growing tulips in spring to citrus trees indoors, always find an audience.
Some editions stick with me more than others. We covered COVID together back in March 2020. We talked through the fire season that September. And in November 2021, I introduced you to my daughter Georgie, plus her first day of school, trips to the zoo, and a Disneyland adventure!
We always keep you ahead of the market itself. We’ve covered record-breaking months for the team, walked through what to expect from the housing market before it happened, and just last winter, wrote about staging as strategy rather than decoration. That’s something I really care about, staying a step ahead so you hear it from us first.
None of the last 100 editions would have meant much without readers who open them. Thank you for sticking with us through market swings, family milestones, and everything in between.
